MOLLE, (pronounced Molly), is an acronym of
MOdular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment,
initially used by the US Military, (especially the US
Army), and now fully in service with the British Army.
MOLLE’s modularity is derived from PALS webbing
(Pouch Attachment Ladder System) - rows of heavy
duty nylon stitched onto the vest, to allow for
attachment of MOLLE-compatible accessories and

The British Army Assault Vest is designed for carrying essential kit on a more secure rig than the original PLCE webbing. This secure load carrying system fits comfortably over body armour.
